Does the Spice-Cargo Kit come filled with spices?
No. The bottles are sent to you empty.
Fill them with the flavors you prefer.
What is the size & weight of the Spice-Cargo kit?
The rolled up kit is about the size of a soup can and weighs about 3 oz. (under 90g).
Rolling Instructions for the Spice-Cargo
1. Flip the bottom (with the bottles) up onto the top flap.
2. Starting with the large bottle on the left, roll up the kit.
3. Wrap the shock cord around and cinch to secure.
Cleaning Instructions
Fabric Portions
The Spice-Cargo pouch & the storage bag are made of ripstop nylon. These can be machine washed in warm water.
Bottles and Caps
The bottles are NOT dishwasher safe. Please wash by hand with dish soap and warm water.
Funnel
The funnel is made from 18/8 stainless steel.
It is dishwasher safe.
Recycling options
We hope that your Spice-Cargo will give you many years of happy cooking. If your Spice-Cargo reaches the end of its useable life, the components can continue their usefulness. Here are some suggestions to close the loop.
Fabric Elements
Ripstop nylon may be recyclable in your area. If not, the fabric can be repurposed.
Bottles and Caps
The bottles are made of #1 PETE, which is the same as a 2 L soda bottle. The caps are #4 polypropylene. These plastics may be recyclable in your area.
Funnel
The funnel is made from 18/8 stainless steel. This may be recyclable in your area.
Packaging
If your shipment comes in a poly-mailer, it is made from #4 plastic (LDPE) and may be recyclable in your area.
